Powerful tubers, not abundant tops: how to grow a rich harvest of healthy radishes

Spring is passing, and many gardeners still don’t have time to taste normal radishes, grown in their own plot, with their own hands.

It's good if you have to settle for the tops. They say they are no less useful than radish roots. We'll tell you what prevents you from harvesting radishes.

No summer resident has ever planted radishes in order to be satisfied with lush tops.

Everyone wants to pick up some rosy, large fruits for a salad or just to eat raw.

But with these mistakes, you may not get a harvest at all, while your neighbors will be bringing home bunches of radishes.

Problems with radishes

1. It all starts with summer residents choosing the wrong varieties and the wrong place to sow vegetables – in terms of crop rotation. This is a fundamental point and there is nothing to neglect here.

2. Next, you need to pay attention to the sowing time. Each variety has its own, as well as the requirements for light or watering.

3. And the last thing that prevents radishes from growing fruits worthy of admiration is planting on the sunny side of the bed. Radishes grow well in the shade, but not in the sun.
