Raspberries can often be found in garden plots primarily because of their tasty and sweet berries.

But sometimes the harvested crop is not at all pleasing, shares the expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh - for some reason the fruits grew sour, watery or, on the contrary, dry.

Most often, the reason for such an unfortunate phenomenon lies in a lack of nutrition, because raspberries are not called a “gluttonous” crop for nothing.

To avoid becoming a hostage to such a situation, it is worth taking care of applying fertilizers in spring, summer and autumn.

In spring, raspberry bushes need nitrogen, which will help them grow greenery and ensure a good harvest in the future.

For this purpose, in April, sprinkle rotted horse manure in the raspberry patch - one bucket will be needed per square meter of land.

Don't forget to cover the soil with compost on top of the humus, the layer of which should be approximately 5-7 cm. Thanks to this simple step, you will be able not only to additionally nourish the plants, but also to retain moisture.

In summer, it is worth adding mown grass to the fertilizer.

After flowering, gardeners advise watering using an infusion of chicken manure. To prepare it, you will need to pour one part of mature manure with 15 parts of water and let the fertilizer sit, then moisten the plantings.

When the berries fill out and ripen, use wood ash - for 10 liters of water you will need 1 glass of wood burning residue.

Finally, with the onset of autumn, it is worth taking care to add humus mixed with Omu fertilizer under the raspberry bushes.
