Blackcurrant is a crop as popular as raspberries or strawberries. There is no point in talking about the benefits of the berries.

This is one of the key vitamin winter preparations that allow you to support your immunity in the autumn-winter period. Let's figure out where it is best to plant the bush.

There are several varieties of currants: black, red, white or golden. But gardeners pay most attention to the black variety.

To get a rich harvest, choose an acclimatized variety, a healthy seedling, and then all that remains is to plant the bush correctly. Here's what you need to know about this event.

In spring, the soil is prepared no later than 2 weeks before planting the bush (you will need a mixture of 1 kg of fertile soil, 100 g of wood ash and 1/2 tbsp of nitroammophoska).

The bushes are planted at a distance of no less than 2 meters from each other, and also at an angle of 45 degrees.
