Perhaps raspberry bushes can be found in every area.

However, sometimes gardeners complain that over time the harvest becomes smaller and smaller, the berries become smaller and acquire a sour taste.

According to the expert of the online publication "Belnovosti", scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , the reason lies in overgrown plantings.

For example, if we talk about remontant raspberries, they should be pruned every year, since the fruits appear only on one-year-old shoots.

It is cut down to zero, and in the summer the bushes are thinned out, removing all the thin shoots.

If we are talking about regular raspberries, thinning is also necessary.

During the procedure, you should get rid of shoots growing inside the bush, those shoots that have already dried out, or simply extra branches.

It is also worth mentioning that raspberries need to be planted in a well-lit place, since the taste of the berry is directly related to how much sunlight it receives.
