Coffee grounds at the dacha: a blatant mistake that turns a good fertilizer into a mass that is dangerous for plants

Experienced gardeners never throw away the mass that remains in the cup after drinking coffee.

The thing is that coffee grounds are an excellent fertilizer. When this product is added to the soil, the quality of the soil cover improves.

In addition, the cake has a strong odor that many dangerous insects are afraid of.

Both of the above circumstances contribute to an increase in the yield of garden crops.

However, coffee grounds must be used correctly. Otherwise, the summer resident should not count on a bountiful harvest. On the contrary, the plants may encounter dangerous diseases.

What Mistake Many Gardeners Make

Some owners of summer cottages do not dry used coffee. This is a serious oversight.

Mold may appear in wet coffee grounds. It is possible that the gardener will not pay attention to the fungus and will add such pulp to the soil. As a result, instead of increasing the yield, the gardener will achieve the opposite result.

Before storing, coffee grounds need to be dried. To do this, spread the mass in a thin layer over an absorbent surface (for example, on a paper towel) and leave it like this until completely dry.

For faster results, you can use an oven.
