It is advisable to learn the rules of agricultural technology before the onset of spring and the beginning of the season of active farming, i.e. in winter.

The reason is that the same procedure can have different effects on different crops. This happens, for example, with hilling plants that should not be hilled at all.

We'll tell you in which cases you shouldn't pick up a hoe unnecessarily.

For most summer residents, hilling begins and ends with the potato bed. Others will not rest until the entire plot is processed. Only this is wrong.

There are three plants you need to remember that don't like hilling.

Cucumbers

In this case, there is a high probability of damaging the cucumber roots, which are not very deep.

Onion

It is not necessary to hill up onion plantings. A layer of mulch will be much more beneficial to the harvest, as it will protect the roots and will not interfere with air exchange.

Green

And finally, there is no point in hilling dill, parsley and other small and leafy greens like salad. Moreover, this way you can ruin the entire harvest, which will simply rot.
