Many summer residents practice joint planting, including with regard to sweet peppers.

However, as the expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh said, not all crops are able to coexist in the same bed with the “Bulgarian”.

If you don’t want to reduce your yield, try to remember: it is strictly forbidden to plant Bulgarian bushes together with potatoes.

Vegetables will certainly enter into a struggle for nutrition, and potatoes will emerge victorious from this battle.

In addition, the crops have similar problems, so they will certainly be affected by insect pests and fungal diseases.

In addition, such a common root vegetable as beetroot will not get along with sweet peppers.

There will also be a life-or-death struggle between crops for nutrients and sunlight, and once again peppers will be among the losers.

If you grow other relatives of pepper, such as hot peppers, be prepared for the fact that they can cross-pollinate. To avoid bitterness in the harvest, plant different varieties of pepper in opposite corners of the plot.
