Improper care of ficus: what problems await gardeners

As is known, under unfavorable conditions, the ficus turns into a sickly plant and does not refuse to develop fully.

An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh listed the problems that await flower growers who make mistakes in flower care.

So, if a ficus is forced to grow in poor lighting, especially in winter, it will simply stop growing.

In this case, the plant's leaves turn yellow and may even fall off over time.

The room temperature is also important - if it is low, the flower begins to fade and also sheds its green mass. This awaits the owner of the ficus if the pot is placed in a draft.

Since the plant does not tolerate excessive soil moisture, when overwatered it begins to wither, the roots rot, and the leaves turn yellow and, as you might have guessed, fall off.

If there is a moisture deficit, the flower’s leaves curl, take on a yellow tint and – all at once – fall off.

Finally, there are cases of excessive use of fertilizers. Exceeding the permissible norm of fertilizing leads to the fact that the roots of the plant are covered with burns and the ficus dies.
