Not all butterflies are equally useful – every gardener has learned this simple truth by heart.

Indeed, while some insects pollinate plants, others produce larvae that mercilessly destroy the crop.

Among them are cabbage whites, leaf rollers, fire moths, cutworms, codling moths, hawthorn moths and others, listed the expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh .

Fortunately, along with industrial “chemistry”, folk remedies come to the aid of summer residents in the fight against voracious caterpillars.

Thus, it is believed that a decoction of hot pepper can cope with butterfly larvae without harming plants and humans.

To prepare it, you will need 100 g of fresh hot pepper pods (can be replaced with 50 g of dried ones).

Chop them with a knife (don't forget to wear protective gloves) and pour in a liter of hot water, then boil under a closed lid for 10 minutes.

After 24 hours, add 9 liters of water and 50 g of green soap to the resulting infusion, after which you can begin to treat the cabbage beds.

An important note: to achieve the desired result, you should use the folk remedy quite often, throughout the season.
