Spider mites are one of the main enemies of many garden crops, including strawberries.

An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told about what to do when you see a small harmful mite on strawberry bushes.

It is worth mentioning that due to its small size it is impossible to see the parasite with the naked eye.

However, it is unlikely that you will be able to miss the thin, dense web between adjacent leaf blades or peduncles.

In addition to the web, a telltale sign of the presence of a parasite on strawberries is small whitish spots on the leaves - these are places where the pest bites the leaf and drinks juice from it.

Over time, there are more and more of these discolored areas on the strawberry, small spots merge into one large one, and the leaf dries up.

Since a tick is not an insect, it is worth using preparations with an acaricidal effect to combat it.

Among them are Fitoverm, of which you will need 2 ml per 0.5 l of water, Antikleshch - it is worth adding 5 ml per 5 l of water, Fufanon-Nova - here 2 ml must be dissolved in 1.7 l of water and others.

The main rule for treating plantings against spider mites is to carry out the procedure before or after flowering.
