Clematis has long since won the title of the plant that is best suited for vertical gardening.
An expert of the online publication "Belnovosti", agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told what to pay attention to when choosing a variety so that clematis blooms like a wall.
Usually, when choosing a new inhabitant for their garden, gardeners are guided by a picture, choosing a plant based on its appearance.
In the case of clematis, everything is a little different. As is known, all varieties of the plant can be divided into three groups depending on pruning.
The first group includes flowers that do not require pruning, the second group includes those that require light pruning, and the third group includes clematis that require strong pruning.
So, the most unpretentious and undemanding to care are clematis from the third group.
Although they do not have such beautiful flowers as the first and second groups, even a beginner can cope with growing them.
Such clematis will decorate arches and trellises with flowers throughout the summer and in some cases even into the fall.
