Many owners of lemon trees growing in pots encounter such a nuisance as yellowing and falling leaves.

According to the expert of the online publication Belnovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , the reason may be hidden in the rotting of the roots, which occurs due to frequent overwatering.

If water is poured into the flowerpot again, and the soil lump has not yet dried out after the previous watering, the tips of the lemon leaves will begin to turn yellow.

In this case, you should wait until the soil dries out, and then treat the plant using the Zircon preparation.

If the problem has become serious and the roots have started to rot, you will not be able to avoid replanting the lemon.

That is why it is worth learning how to water the plant correctly. An ordinary wooden stick (it should be thin) will help determine that the lemon needs watering.

It should be immersed in the soil between the plant trunk and the edge of the pot. Wait about 10 minutes, after which you can take out the stick.

If the inspection shows that it is damp, then you should not water the lemon. If the stick is dry, you can take the watering can.
