In January, the dollar exchange rate against the Russian ruble may fall.
However, strengthening of the American currency to 120 rubles cannot be ruled out.
This forecast was voiced by the founder of the company RusTransChina, Alexander Strelnikov.

What will happen to the dollar in January 2025
As Strelnikov explained, in January the exchange rate of the American currency to the Russian one will most likely be adjusted downwards.
According to him, after the New Year holidays, the exchange rate always stabilizes.
The demand for currency is decreasing, the expert explained.
According to his forecasts, after the New Year the rate will stabilize in the range of 90-95 rubles.
At the same time, Strelnikov continued, a sharp rise in the exchange rate is also possible.
Such a scenario is likely in the event of a decline in global oil prices, new sanctions, or a change in the US Federal Reserve's policy.
According to the expert, the American currency may strengthen even to 120 rubles.
The Bank of Russia and economic analysts will probably try to prevent such a sharp weakening of the ruble, Strelnikov added.
