Contrary to popular belief, not all traditional New Year's dishes are harmful.
Vera Serezhina, a medical expert at the medical company LabQuest, told us which New Year's food will be beneficial.
RIA Novosti cites the specialist's recommendations.
What New Year's dishes are healthy
First, aspic. It contains collagen, glucosamine and elastin.
These substances increase skin elasticity and improve the condition of joints and connective tissues.
Also, aspic is rich in retinol, which strengthens the immune system, and glycine, which is beneficial for the brain and nervous system.
However, it should be taken into account that aspic is a rather fatty and high-calorie dish.
You should consume aspic with caution if you have problems with the gastrointestinal tract, kidney stones, and gout.
Secondly, healthy New Year's dishes are those that contain easily digestible proteins.
For example, salads with seafood, baked lean fish.
There should also be fruits on the New Year's table. Lemon, grapefruit and pineapple are especially useful.
They contain enzymes and organic acids that improve digestion.
