Some traditional New Year's snacks can be harmful to health.
Russian doctor, clinical nutritionist of the Novabiom service, Daria Rusanova, warned about this.
Her statement is quoted by Lenta.ru .
What New Year's snacks are the most harmful
As Rusanova explained, the most harmful New Year's snacks are those that contain a lot of additives and at the same time have low nutritional value.
The doctor included imitation caviar, sausages and various spreads (pates, rillettes, etc.) among them.
The feeling of satiety after such products does not last long, but they contain a lot of calories, the specialist noted.
According to her, such products contain large quantities of substances that are harmful to the intestinal microbiota: artificial colors, flavor enhancers, stabilizers, flavorings, emulsifiers.
Excessive consumption of such food, Rusanova warned, is fraught with dysbacteriosis and its accompanying symptoms - a feeling of heaviness in the stomach, bloating, bowel problems, and general malaise.
It is better to give preference to cuts of whole meat and fish, the nutritionist advised.
