Scientific studies conducted in Australia have shown that nuts can be consumed on a diet.
Not only do they not lead to weight gain, but they also help to lose extra pounds. Therefore, nuts can be eaten on a diet. You just need to know which ones.
Nuts and Diet
Researchers from the University of South Australia have experimentally confirmed the beneficial properties of nuts in the fight against excess weight.
As part of the experiment, volunteers ate between 42 and 84 grams of nuts per day.
This allowed an additional loss of 1.4 to 7.4 kilograms, compared to those who did not eat nuts while losing weight.
But it is often said that nuts should not be consumed on a diet because they contain fat and contribute to weight gain. This is not true.
What nuts are there?
When trying to lose weight, scientists recommend paying attention to six types of nuts:
- walnuts (rich in nutrients, good for the brain, reduce appetite);
- pistachios (rich in antioxidants, reduce bad cholesterol and sugar levels);
- almonds (rich in protein, normalizes cholesterol levels, helps fight belly fat);
- Brazil nuts (reduce appetite, contain the amino acid arginine, which promotes fat burning);
- hazelnuts (lowers cholesterol levels, useful for problems with sugar levels);
- peanuts (improves metabolism, calorie burning, reduces hunger).
