Bananas have many beneficial properties, but they also have many contraindications.
Nutritionist, endocrinologist, and top-category physician Elena Syurakshina told us who shouldn’t eat bananas.
The specialist's recommendations are provided by the Roskachestvo portal.
Who shouldn't have bananas?
You shouldn't eat too many bananas if you have thrombophlebitis or varicose veins. Bananas remove fluid from the body and thicken the blood.
Also contraindications include irritable bowel syndrome and exacerbation of chronic gastrointestinal diseases: bananas can cause bloating and flatulence.
People with diabetes and obesity should consume bananas with caution; it is recommended to choose unripe fruits.
It is also important to consider that bananas have a negative effect on tooth enamel and can cause an allergic reaction.
