Many people have been accustomed since childhood to the idea that soup should be eaten regularly, since in this case some health problems can be avoided: stomach pain, gastritis, etc. But is this really true?
TV doctor Alexander Myasnikov answered this question as part of the program “About the Most Important Thing”.
As the specialist explained, the soup does not help to avoid gastritis or ulcers, since we are talking about chronic diseases caused by the bacterium Helicobacter pylori.
“If you don’t have this infectious agent, which in the vast majority of cases is the cause of gastritis, no matter what you eat or drink, you won’t have gastritis or ulcers,” the specialist explained during the program.
He noted that it would not be possible to completely avoid unpleasant sensations, since heartburn or other symptoms could still bother you.
In addition, the doctor said that some people are interested in the question of whether it is possible to become infected with gastritis.
The answer was negative.
At the same time, Myasnikov added that one can become infected with the bacteria that provokes it, reports the publication “ AiF ”.
