As everyone knows from childhood, sweets are unhealthy food that only harms the body. Therefore, the amount of such products in the diet should be minimal, and even better - completely give up muffins, cakes and candies.

But often many compare homemade and store-bought desserts, noting that cakes prepared at home are less harmful. But is this true?

Nutritionist Elena Solomatina compared store-bought and homemade sweets to understand which of them contribute to obesity more.

She shared the details with representatives of the AiF publication.

She noted that if a product contains too many dyes, preservatives, flavors and other additives, the liver will simply begin to cope poorly with the removal of harmful elements.

The doctor noted that homemade treats usually contain fewer harmful additives. But they do contain fats and carbohydrates. As a result, as the specialist noted, it is easy to gain weight from both homemade and store-bought desserts.

If you want to treat yourself to something from this category of products, it is better to choose desserts that consist of fruits.
