Cakes are a great dessert option. Many people prefer to decorate their tables with them for holidays, so that such a delicacy would be a logical end to the evening.

But how much of this delicacy is safe to eat?

Nutritionist Antonina Starodubova spoke about this, RIA Novosti writes.

As the doctor said, a standard portion is 150 grams. That's how much an adult can eat.

But do not forget that such a small piece contains about 40-70 g of sugar, which negatively affects the figure and health. Therefore, it is better to divide a regular piece into three parts. It is better to eat no more than 65 grams.

As for children, the portion cannot be more than 75 grams.

Starodubova emphasized that it is best to eat cake after lunch to prevent overeating.

At the same time, a person can slightly reduce the calorie content of desserts if he decides to use fruits or fruit puree in the composition.
