Mistake #1

The furniture is placed along the walls. Sofas, armchairs and pedestals along the perimeter are the very mistake that makes the center of the room resemble a lifeless desert in miniature.

It's easy to fix. You can move the sofa or chair away from the wall closer to the center.

You can also add a coffee table or a fluffy rug to create a pleasant space for conversation.

Mistake #2

Monotony and lack of accents in your home.

It is hardly possible to call an interior exclusively in one color cozy. There are exceptions, but very rarely.

Basically, a room in a monochromatic color scheme looks dull.

The problem is solved by adding bright components, such as decorative pillows, carpets with attractive patterns, etc.

Important: add the colors that you like, and not because you blindly follow fashion trends.

Mistake #3

One light source. Typically, this is a central chandelier or ceiling light.

In the evening, with this layout, the room will look gloomy.

Moreover, diffused lighting will only highlight all the imperfections and defects in the home.

This can be fixed by adding additional lamps (place them in different corners).

For example, we’ll get a table lamp, a sconce above the sofa, and a floor lamp near the armchair.

Mistake #4

The rug is the wrong size: either too small or, on the contrary, too big for the room.

Due to disproportionality, the harmony of space is disrupted and, accordingly, there is no need to talk about the integrity of the interior.

We fix it as follows: we choose a carpet so that it “accommodates” the entire recreation area: sofa, armchairs, coffee table.
