Why You Shouldn't Break Spaghetti Before Cooking: Italians Would Faint

Many housewives (probably at least half) break the spaghetti into two or even three pieces before throwing it into the pot.

They do this for good purposes: so that the spaghetti immediately ends up entirely in the water.

But, as the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova, warns, doing this is strictly prohibited, and not only because such manipulations can cause mortal offense to the residents of Italy.

It turns out that this action is directly related to the deterioration of the taste and quality of the finished dish.

1. The first thing that awaits the housewife who breaks spaghetti in half is the pasta stuck together in the plate. It will be difficult to separate them from each other.

This means that the dish served at the table will look extremely unappetizing.

2. And the second thing you will have to face as a result of violating the cooking technology is the inconvenience of eating spaghetti.

They are supposed to be eaten with both a fork and a spoon. The long noodles are twirled around the fork, and the spoon is used to completely immerse them in the sauce and prevent it from dripping.

If the spaghetti is broken, you won't be able to eat it this way.

So next time, instead of breaking up your spaghetti, just find a bigger pot to cook it in.
