Sometimes we are surprised at how delicious the drink served in a coffee shop is: we can’t make it like that at home.
We believe that the reasons are simple: high-quality raw materials and professional equipment.
But this is not always the case, notes Yulia Arkhipova, an expert on culinary issues at the online publication BelNovosti.
What mistakes do we make?
Storing grains in unsuitable containers
The container must be airtight, as the beans will lose their aroma and taste. As a result, the drink will be quite mediocre, even if the beans themselves were good.
Ground coffee
If you consider yourself a gourmet, then you should grind the coffee immediately before preparing the drink. In ground form, it loses its aroma and richness.
Boiling water
Hot water deprives even high-quality coffee of its flavor. Therefore, the water must first be cooled. The optimal temperature is considered to be around 94-95 degrees.
Sugar
It is worth remembering that coffee loses its uniqueness after adding sugar. Its taste becomes poorer and simpler. Therefore, true connoisseurs try to give up sugar.
