However, in fact, this conclusion does not correspond to reality.

Gastroenterologist Alexey Paramonov dispelled a popular myth about buckwheat, reports the publication AiF.ru.

What is the difference between buckwheat soaked in water and boiled

According to the specialist, there are almost no serious differences.

A doctor confirmed that soaking buckwheat in water preserves more vitamins than boiling it.

However, the difference is not that significant, the gastroenterologist noted.

Paramonov emphasized that fully cooked cereals contain slightly fewer useful components than those brewed with boiling water.

As for such important characteristics as the content of dietary fiber and iron, as well as a small glycemic index, there is no difference at all. Cooking does not affect these indicators.

Many people like the bright taste of boiled buckwheat. Therefore, it is worth choosing this cooking option.

However, this is a matter of taste, Alexey Paramonov emphasized.

If a gourmet wants to eat buckwheat soaked in water, then this can be done.
