On New Year's Eve, many people decorate the table with shashlik, among other dishes. Often, it is a ready-made, purchased product.

But you can make the meat yourself - in the oven. And do it in such a way that the meat turns out to be the most delicious.

Those who have tried this recipe say that the shashlik is in no way inferior to that cooked on a grill.

Guests, rest assured, will want to know where you managed to fry the meat, since you live in an apartment.

As reported by the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova, the preparation process is very simple.

According to her, thanks to this recipe, the shashlik in the oven will turn out tender, juicy, and slightly fried.

The ingredients we need are pork, onion, vinegar, sugar, lemon juice, spices, salt, and pepper.

Cook in a baking sleeve. On an onion bed (the onion should be marinated to get a real "shashlik taste").

Meat and onions

It is best to cook the meat in pieces, which are beaten after being covered with cling film.

Then we remove the film, add pepper, salt and beat a little more.

Next, put the meat in a bowl, add spices and small pieces of onion.

Let's leave all this to marinate for two hours. And an hour before cooking, marinate the onion separately.

We cut it into half rings, put them in a bowl and pour boiling water over them.

Pour 3-4 tablespoons of vinegar there, add 2 tablespoons of sugar, salt, and maybe lemon juice.

Baking

Now comes the main cooking process. Preheat the oven and bake at maximum temperature.

Don't forget to line the baking tray with baking paper. Cut the sleeve to a length slightly longer than the baking tray itself. Tie it on one side.

Place the onion into the sleeve and carefully distribute it along the bottom of the sleeve.

Place the meat on top, but do not mix it with the pickled onions. Tie the other end of the sleeve, then pierce it in several places.

Now you can put it in the oven. Bake for about 1-1.5 hours. Don't forget that the meat should be slightly fried.
