Should You Add Potatoes to Mimosa Salad: A Common Mistake

The Mimosa salad is popular and can be found on holiday tables no less often than Olivier or Fur Coat.

But housewives who habitually add boiled potatoes to all the listed salads are mistaken.

Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova - a cook, fourth-category baker told whether it is necessary to add boiled potatoes to the "Mimosa" salad.

This appetizer requires only four ingredients and mayonnaise for dressing. Potatoes are not on the list.

You will need:

  • canned pink salmon 1 can;
  • eggs 4 pcs;
  • onion 1 pc;
  • cheese 150 g;
  • mayonnaise to taste.

How to cook

1. Drain the oil from the jar and chop the pink salmon in a convenient way.

2. Peel the onion, chop finely and mix it with the fish.

3. Boil the eggs hard, separate the whites and grate them on a coarse grater. Grind the yolks into small crumbs. Grate the cheese.

4. Place the first layer of fish and onion in the salad bowl, then a layer of egg white, then grated cheese, then a layer of mayonnaise and sprinkle everything on top with grated yolk.

Cool the salad and serve. Enjoy!
