Do you want to truly surprise your loved ones or guests during these New Year holidays?
Treat them to a hearty pasta with tuna and green peas in tomato sauce.
They will lick their fingers and ask for more. Especially those who respect fish.
Here, as reported by the expert of the online publication Belnovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova , tuna sets the main taste, and a pronounced one at that.
Ingredients (prepare for three servings):
– pasta (200 grams);
– canned tuna (130 grams);
– one large tomato;
– frozen green peas (60 grams);
– onions (90 grams);
– vegetable oil (40 ml);
– dried Italian herbs (half a teaspoon);
– a few sprigs of parsley and dill;
– ground black pepper (102 pinches);
– salt (to taste).
Let's cook
Green peas can be used straight from the freezer.
Drain the liquid from the can of tuna, peel and cut the onion into small cubes.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the onion in it (over high heat) for about 3-4 minutes.
Peel the tomato and cut the vegetable pulp into small cubes.
Add chopped tomato, tuna and green peas to the fried onions.
Then heat the whole thing over high heat for three minutes, stirring the contents of the pan periodically.
Then add salt, ground black pepper and dried Italian herbs.
Next, cook the sauce over medium heat (stirring) for another five minutes.
At the same time, boil the pasta in a saucepan with water brought to a boil.
After boiling again, cook over medium heat until ready.
Then place the pasta in a colander, let the water drain, and then transfer the pasta to the prepared sauce.
Mix thoroughly and heat over low heat for about a minute.
Sprinkle the finished dish with chopped dill and parsley.
