This unusual appetizer will satisfy the tastes of even the most demanding and capricious gourmets.
It is ideal for a festive table, including New Year's, subsequent holidays, Christmas, etc.
As the expert of the online publication Belnovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova , said, all the products included in the dish are available to every housewife.
We will need herring (200 grams), onions (80 grams), carrots (55 grams), frozen green peas (100 grams).
You will also need vegetable broth (125 grams), gelatin (10 grams), mayonnaise (2 tablespoons), beets (400 grams), one apple and sour cream (2 tablespoons).
Let's cook
Cut the carrots into small cubes. After 10 minutes of cooking, add the peas and salt (to taste).
Next, bring it to a boil. Then turn off the heat and let it sit for about five minutes.
Then we drain the vegetables into a colander to let the broth drain, which we will still need.
We dissolve 20 grams of gelatin in it (250 grams) and heat it over low heat, stirring constantly.
When the gelatin has dissolved, let it cool down until it becomes warm.
In another bowl, put the grated beetroot and apple. And we separate the herring into fillets and put them through a meat grinder.
Cut the onion into small cubes. Mix the herring, peas, carrots, and onion in a container.
Add sour cream, mayonnaise, a little salt. Mix.
Divide the diluted gelatin into two parts: pour one into the herring, the second into the beetroot. Stir and beat a little.
Then we put the mixture into paper cupcake tins (about 1 cm thick) and immediately put them in the refrigerator.
Using a glass, squeeze a circle out of a slice of bread. Or cut the bread into squares.
After an hour, remove the paper form and place the jelly on the pieces of bread.
Alternatively, place the jelly on a plate, alternating herring with beetroot.
