The winter holiday season is about to begin.
Many housewives have already started to prepare their New Year and Christmas menus.
Many lists mention the following dishes: Olivier salad, herring under a fur coat, jellied fish, sandwiches with red caviar.
By the way, regarding the latter... This appetizer is quite expensive.
For many people, this delicacy will probably be beyond their means.
Fortunately, there is a much cheaper, but no less tasty substitute for red caviar.
The recipe for a luxurious spread was shared by the expert of the online publication Belnovosti in the field of cooking, chef, fourth-class baker Yulia Arkhipova.
How to Make Herring Spread
Take one salted herring, cut it up and remove the bones.
Cut the product into small cubes and place the resulting pieces in a deep container.
Add the same 80 grams of frozen butter, one boiled carrot and one processed cheese. Of course, all these ingredients should be grated.
Ground pepper and herbs can be used as additives.
The resulting mass must be chopped using a blender. However, you can also use a meat grinder.
The result is an incredibly tasty spread that is in no way inferior in taste to red caviar.
Important: the herring-cheese mixture can be stored for no more than 72 hours. During this time, the container with the mixture should be kept in the refrigerator.
