Correct and quick cleaning of champignons: what does flour have to do with it

Champignons are popular in the kitchen, largely due to their taste, but also because these mushrooms are very healthy.

According to Yulia Arkhipova, an expert at the online publication BelNovosti, champignons contain vitamin D, which helps our body better absorb calcium.

The specialist also answered the question whether this product needs cleaning.

According to her, it is enough to wash the champignons in running water and then dry them immediately - this is necessary so that the mushrooms do not absorb a lot of excess moisture.

In this regard, soaking champignons in water for a long time is a serious mistake, since during frying the mushrooms will release a large amount of liquid.

As a result, their consistency, and, accordingly, taste, will be different from what is desired.

To prevent this from happening, you can use one culinary trick: it involves cleaning the mushrooms using flour instead of water.

Place the mushrooms in a saucepan and add 3-4 tablespoons of flour. Cover the pan with a lid and shake it well several times.

Then wipe the mushrooms with clean paper towels or paper towels to remove any remaining flour and dirt.

Please note: if wet soil has stuck to the stems of the mushrooms, it can only be removed with a knife.
