New Year is just around the corner. And that means we are increasingly thinking about what the holiday table will look like.

Its undoubted decoration will be “New Year’s” rolls – a dish that is loved by children and adults.

The recipe is quite simple, and the cooking process itself will not take much time and effort.

An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova , spoke about what needs to be cooked and how.

Ingredients

According to the expert, to prepare this dish you will need:

– lavash – 1-2 large sheets (depending on the number of servings);
– cottage cheese – 200 grams (you can also use regular cottage cheese);
– chicken fillet – 200 grams (you can use ham or any other boiled meat product);
– red bell pepper – one piece;
– pickled cucumbers – 2-3 pieces;
- a bunch of green onions;
– sour cream or mayonnaise – to taste;
– garlic – 1-2 cloves;
– salt and pepper – to taste;
– spices – optional.

Let's cook

First, steam or boil the chicken fillet until done, wait until it cools, then cut into small cubes.

Wash the red pepper, remove the seeds and cut into small cubes.

Finely chop the cucumbers and green onions and grate the garlic.

Place cottage cheese (curd), boiled chicken fillet, chopped red pepper, cucumbers, and green onions in a deep bowl.

For those who like a richer taste, add garlic here.

If desired, add sour cream or mayonnaise (the filling will be creamier and will hold its shape better).

Mix all this thoroughly, taste, add salt, pepper or spices to taste.

Rolls

Next, take a sheet of lavash, place it on a flat surface, and apply the filling to the lavash (in an even layer).

You should leave a little space around the edges so that the filling does not come out when you roll it.

Next, carefully roll the lavash into a roll, preferably so that it is tight.

Now wrap the finished roll in film or foil. Put it in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.

Then, when the roll hardens, take it out, carefully remove the film (foil), cut the product into pieces (each 2-3 centimeters wide).

By the way. Instead of chicken fillet, you can use other fillings, such as raba, spinach, etc.

You can add herbs, spices, and sprinkle grated cheese or sesame seeds on top.
