It is this product that deprives the dish of lightness, making it much more caloric and less healthy.

Of course, you can use beef or chicken fillet instead of sausage.

How to make Olivier with shrimps

The dish is prepared almost the same way as the standard version of Olivier salad (which includes sausage).

However, when preparing a shrimp salad, the ratio of ingredients becomes extremely important.

It is better to focus not on the number of eggs/potatoes/cans, but on the weight of the products.

Combine the following ingredients in a bowl:

  • Sliced boiled potatoes - 480 grams;
  • Sliced fresh cucumber - 400 grams;
  • Diced boiled carrots - 180 grams;
  • Boiled and chopped shrimp - 300 grams;
  • Peas from a can (without liquid, of course) - 300 grams;
  • Chopped boiled egg - 240 grams.

You can add a little salt and pepper to the mixture. Then you need to season the salad with mayonnaise: determine the required amount of sauce yourself.

Please note the following important points: the exquisite and light Olivier salad with shrimps does not contain onions, and fresh cucumbers are used instead of pickles.
