For a long time, it was believed that the ideal way to prepare fresh herbs for the winter was to freeze them. This is a good option if you have a lot of free space in the freezer.
But experienced housewives no longer dry herbs or even freeze them.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova, a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to prepare a fragrant seasoning for the winter.
You will need:
- dill - 100 g;
- parsley - 100 g;
- garlic - 2-3 cloves;
- salt (coarse) - 50 gr.
How to cook
1. Clean greens should be chopped with a knife or blended.
2. Pass the garlic through a press and then mix the ingredients together.
3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the prepared mixture in it.
4. Place in an oven preheated to 150 degrees Celsius and wait until the moisture evaporates from the greens.
5. After the mixture has cooled, transfer it to a bowl, add salt and mix with a blender.
When ready, transfer the mixture into a jar with a tightly closing lid.
