Pickled tomatoes are the first to go in winter. They are always a welcome snack on the table.
There are many recipes - sweet tomatoes, in their own juice, etc. This snack will certainly be appreciated by lovers of spicy and aromatic food.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova - cook, fourth-category baker told how to deliciously marinate tomatoes for the winter.
You will need:
- tomatoes 2.5 kg;
- bell pepper 3-4 pcs;
- hot pepper 1-2 pcs;
- garlic 1 large head;
- basil, dill and parsley to taste;
- water 1 liter;
- salt 1 tbsp;
- sugar 3 tbsp;
- vinegar (9%) 2 tbsp. per liter jar.
How to cook
1. Bell peppers and hot peppers should be cleaned and passed through a meat grinder together with garlic and herbs.
2. The prepared dressing should be placed in jars – 2 tablespoons in each.
3. Place tomatoes tightly on top and pour in brine.
4. To prepare it, add salt and sugar to one liter of water and bring to a boil.
5. Cover the jars with lids and place them in a saucepan to sterilize for 10 minutes.
When ready, add vinegar and roll up the lids. Turn over and after cooling, put the blanks away for storage.
