Housewives resort to all sorts of tricks to soften the liver.
And they sprinkle it with soda, and soak it in milk, and in vinegar. Although everything is much simpler.
Yulia Arkhipova, an expert in the field of cooking, a chef and a fourth-class baker from the online publication Belnovosti, tells us what needs to be done with the liver to make it soft.
How to soften liver
Whether the liver turns out soft depends not least on the defrosting method.
The liver should defrost slowly, on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator.
Secondly, the liver needs to be cut into large pieces. If you cut it into small cubes, it will give up all the juice.
Thirdly, when frying, the liver needs to be turned over or stirred frequently. Frying until done on each side is not an option. Also, you cannot fry the liver on high heat.
