There are many recipes for kvass, and one of them – simple and tasty – does not require the use of yeast.
This method, which will certainly interest all supporters of natural and healthy drinks, was shared by the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova .
To prepare this kvass, you will need:
• 3 liters of water;
• 4.5 crusts of bread (preferably dark);
• 4 tablespoons of sugar.
Additionally, if possible, you can add kvass concentrate from the store in a half-liter jar, but this is not necessary.
The water should be boiled and then wait until it cools to room temperature.
Pour the water into a large container and throw in the bread and sugar.
The container should be covered and left for 4.5 days to ferment.
Every day the kvass will become more and more rich.
As you consume it, you should add bread and sugar to the container to maintain the fermentation process.
