Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to prepare a potato casserole.
You will need:
- potatoes - 5 pcs.;
- onion - 1 pc.;
- carrots - 1 pc.;
- pepper (bell) - 1 pc.;
- eggs - 3 pcs.;
- milk - 250 ml;
- flour - 200 g;
- baking powder - 1 tsp;
- cheese - 150 g;
- salt, pepper and herbs to taste.
How to cook
1. Peel and grate raw potatoes using a Korean carrot grater, place in a bowl and cover with cold water.
2. At this time, finely chop the onion and fry it. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater and fry them together with the onion.
3. Chop the bell pepper and add it to the pan with the vegetables until done.
4. Drain the water from the potatoes, add the fried vegetables, eggs, flour and baking powder, milk and mix.
Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil, place the dough in it and bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 35-45 minutes.
10 minutes before it's ready, sprinkle the casserole with grated cheese. Enjoy!
