Buckwheat porridge is considered one of the healthiest and has virtually no contraindications. However, eating regular porridge for a long time, even with cutlets or meat, is boring.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to cook buckwheat porridge merchant style.
You will need:
- buckwheat - 350 g;
- onions - 2 pcs.;
- carrots - 2 pcs.;
- cheese - 200 g;
- chicken fillet to taste;
- salt and pepper to taste.
How to cook
1. Peel and dice the onion. Grate the carrots and cheese on a coarse grater.
2. Cut the chicken fillet (can be replaced with mushrooms) into pieces.
3. Fry the onion in vegetable oil, after a minute add the carrots and simmer until half cooked for 7-10 minutes, add salt and pepper.
4. Rinse the buckwheat with water, place the vegetables in a baking dish, then the meat (mushrooms), and pour the buckwheat on top and smooth it out.
5. Add 600 ml of water (boiling water), cover with foil and cook in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
Then remove the foil, sprinkle with grated cheese, cover with foil and put in the oven for 10 minutes, reducing the temperature to 160 degrees.
Then remove the foil, leave the porridge in the oven for 5 minutes and serve.
