Any housewife can cook meat in French style, almost with her eyes closed.
But not everyone knows that there is also French-style liver, which is soft, juicy and simply delicious.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to prepare this dish.
You will need:
- liver (beef) - 600 g;
- onion - 2 pcs.;
- carrots - 1 pc.;
- flour - 2 tbsp;
- sour cream (20%) - 2 tbsp. l.;
- cheese (hard) - 120 g;
- salt, black pepper to taste;
- vegetable oil.
How to cook
1. Clean the liver, wash, cut into pieces about a centimeter thick.
2. Mix flour with salt and pepper, separately mix eggs with salt and beat with a whisk.
3. Bread each piece of liver first in flour, then in the egg mixture and fry in a preheated frying pan with vegetable oil for about a minute on each side.
4. Place the liver in a baking dish.
5. Grate the carrots and cheese on a coarse grater and cut the onion into small cubes. Fry the onion (it should become transparent) and the carrots until done.
6. When the vegetables have cooled, mix them with sour cream.
7. Place the prepared mixture on each piece of liver and sprinkle with grated cheese on top.
Bring to readiness in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
