Minced meat is an excellent semi-finished product that allows you to prepare a variety of dishes: cutlets, meatballs, meat pies or pies.
Before you start cooking, it is important to check the quality of the minced meat and its expiration date.
There are some signs that need to be addressed.
Color
Fresh minced chicken or pork has a delicate pink tint. If the product is made from beef or lamb, it has a dark red color.
If the semi-finished product is grey, yellowish or greenish, then it should not be eaten.
Consistency
There should be no crust on top.
If there is liquid at the bottom of the package and the texture of the product itself is quite uneven, then this is a sign of spoiled minced meat.
Smell
A good semi-finished product usually has a light meaty aroma of a raw product.
If the minced meat has a sour, rotten or other unpleasant smell, you should not eat it.
