How to make real shashlik: not from meat, but from chicken hearts - also delicious

Since chicken hearts are sold in any store, it will not be difficult for you to purchase the necessary ingredient for making shashlik.

However, you shouldn’t expect any difficulties at the cooking stage, but after that, it’s worth admitting, some problems may arise – it’s very difficult to tear yourself away from such a delicious dinner.

Aside from the talk, stock up on the necessary products and get to the culinary front. For 1 kg of hearts you will need:

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce;
  • 1 teaspoon oregano;
  • 1 teaspoon paprika;
  • 1 teaspoon dry garlic;
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt;
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil;
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice;
  • 1 onion head.

Cut the washed hearts, cutting off the unnecessary side part, and then rinse them again under water.

Pour hot water over the blanks, then drain the liquid and add soy sauce and spices to the hearts – oregano, paprika, dry garlic.

Finally, season with vegetable oil and lemon juice, add salt and add onions cut into medium-sized pieces. If desired, you can add chicken seasoning.

All that remains is to mix everything, cover with cling film and marinate in the refrigerator overnight.

In the morning, the hearts need to be threaded onto long skewers like shashlik skewers, wrapped in foil and placed in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 25 minutes.

Then remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes without it. When the time is up, take out the treat and enjoy the most delicious snack. Enjoy your meal!
