Cottage cheese dishes are simply made for breakfast. They are easy to prepare, tasty and filling.
And these are not only the usual cheesecakes or oven-baked casseroles, but also vareniki.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to cook lazy vareniki.
You will need:
- cottage cheese - 200 g;
- egg - 1 pc.;
- flour - 3 tbsp;
- sugar - 2 tbsp;
- salt and sugar to taste.
How to cook
1. Rub the cottage cheese through a sieve, mash it with a fork or chop it with a blender.
2. Mix the prepared mixture with the egg, flour, sugar and salt until you get a homogeneous dough.
3. Roll the dough into a long cylinder and cut into small pieces, bread each piece in flour, after which you can freeze it for future use or start cooking it right away.
4. Boil lazy dumplings in boiling water over low heat for 5-7 minutes after boiling.
5. Dumplings are prepared without filling and can be sweet or salty, depending on what you plan to serve them with.
This could be simple sour cream, a sauce based on it, jam, condensed milk, and so on.
