Oatmeal is not necessarily porridge or cookies. Some housewives go further and prepare a casserole from the flakes or pour kefir (yogurt) over them overnight.
But all this is boring and can only be called a healthy breakfast, not a dessert.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to make a crispy apple pie with oatmeal.
You will need:
- oat flakes - 100 g;
- apples (sweet and sour) - 3 pcs.;
- flour - 100 g;
- butter - 100 g;
- lemon juice - 2 tsp;
- starch (corn) - 1 tsp;
- sugar (brown) - 80 g;
- cinnamon to taste.
How to cook
1. Wash the apples, peel and core them, cut them into slices and place them in a baking dish coated with oil.
2. Pour oatmeal into a separate bowl, add flour and melted butter, cinnamon, lemon juice, starch and sugar.
Mix with a spoon or your hands until you get a mixture of uniform consistency.
3. When ready, spread the mixture on the apples, compact it and put the form in the oven, preheated to 160 degrees Celsius.
Bake for 30-35 minutes and serve with ice cream. Enjoy!
