You will need:
- any fish, for example, mackerel - 2 pcs. (1150 g); (approximately 750 g - cleaned);
- onions - 3 pcs. (350 g);
- 300 ml of water;
- sugar - 3 tsp, salt - 2 tsp;
- 1 teaspoon each of smoked paprika and ground coriander;
- 0.5 tsp each of ground ginger and Italian (Caucasian, Provencal, French) herbs; black pepper;
- 50 ml vegetable oil; juice of half a lemon.
Cooking process
The fish is cleaned of entrails, the fins and head are cut off. It is washed and dried with a towel.
Cut into small pieces (5-7 cm thick).
Onion - thin half rings. Place half of the onion on the bottom of the dish. Fish - on the onion cushion. Sprinkle the remaining half of the onion on top.
Prepare the marinade. Salt, pepper, herbs are poured into a bowl and mixed. Squeeze out the lemon juice, pour in water, add oil.
Mix the marinade again, pour into the dish with the fish. Put on high heat, bring to a boil. After boiling, cook for 8-10 minutes.
Remove from the stove, do not open the container until it cools down. During this time, the fish will "come" to full readiness.
