There are many ways to prepare homemade lard.
One of the simplest is using onion peel. This method helps to get a tasty and aromatic snack.
Ingredients
For 1 kg of lard you need to take 2 handfuls of husks, as well as:
- water - 1 l;
- bay leaf - 3 pcs.;
- salt - 200 g;
- sugar - 2 tbsp;
- sweet peas - 4 pcs.;
- garlic - 3 cloves;
- pepper mix, paprika - to taste.
Cooking process
The husks need to be washed and then added to a pot of water along with other additional ingredients.
As soon as the liquid starts to boil, you can add pieces of lard.
Bring the entire contents of the pan to a boil and cook for another 20 minutes over low heat.
Then, when the preparation has cooled, it needs to be placed in the refrigerator for 12 hours.
After this, you can take out the product.
The lard must be dried and rubbed with a mixture of spices and chopped garlic.
Then you can wrap the product in film or a bag.
It is better to store prepared lard in the freezer.
