Mackerel is an affordable and tasty fish that improves immunity and gives energy.
At the same time, many housewives prefer to serve fish that they salted at home.

The cooking process is quite simple and does not require many additional products.
Ingredients
For 2 mackerels it is enough to take:
- salt - 3 tbsp;
- bay leaf - 3 leaves;
- sugar - 1 tbsp;
- black peppercorns - 3 pcs.
How to salt mackerel at home
The fish should be freed from all unnecessary things (head, tail, etc.), and then washed. A spoon of salt should be poured into the bottom of the container, pepper and bay leaf should be added.
The remaining salt should be mixed with sugar. Rub the fish inside and out with this mixture. Then put the mackerel in a container and close the lid tightly. The product should stand in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
Before serving, the fish should be rinsed under running water and dried with paper towels.
