In Soviet times, an established Olivier recipe emerged, which is considered classic.
For the cuisine of those years, the salad was truly ideal.
There wasn't as much of a choice of products in stores as there is now, so housewives made do with the simplest options.
However, there is no urgent need to follow the classic recipe now. For example, fish lovers can try a new and unusual salad recipe.
How to Make an Unusual Version of a Regular Salad
List of required components
- boiled potatoes (no more than 300 grams);
- fresh cucumber (medium);
- one package of canned tuna;
- three boiled eggs;
- mayonnaise at your discretion;
- salt and some green onions.
How to make a fish version of Olivier
We try to chop the potatoes and chicken eggs into nice squares of approximately the same size. The optimal size is only one centimeter.
We do the same with the cucumber, previously washed and dried.
We send it to a bowl.
It is worth taking good quality tuna. Remove the liquid, and bring the fish itself to a state of homogeneous mass with a fork. Add salt and mix.
You can let the salad sit in the refrigerator for a while.
Before serving, add mayonnaise and don’t forget to add some chopped green onions.
