You can make a lot of dishes from cabbage – from stuffed cabbage rolls and cabbage soup to pies and salads. The most popular method is sourdough. But that's not all.
We'll tell you how to cook Korean-style cabbage.
You will need:
- cabbage - 2 kg;
- beets - 2 pcs.;
- water - 1 l;
- vinegar - 150 g;
- sugar - 100 g;
- sunflower oil - 100 g;
- pepper - 7 peas;
- garlic - 7 cloves;
- salt - 2 tbsp;
- ground hot pepper to taste.
How to cook
1. Wash the cabbage and cut it with a knife, but not into thin strips, but into square or other shaped petals.
2. Peel and grate the beets, chop the garlic with a knife.
3. Bring the water to a boil, add oil, spices, turn off and pour in vinegar.
4. Pour the cooled brine over the cabbage, beets and garlic and press down. Leave for three days at room temperature, then keep in the refrigerator for a day and serve.
