4 Main Mistakes When Storing Cereals and Pasta: Every Second Housewife Makes

It is difficult to imagine a tasty lunch or a hearty dinner without pasta or cereals.

That is why every kitchen has a supply of these products.

However, if mistakes are made when storing pasta and cereals, consider that everything was in vain - you will not be able to use the contents of the packages you bought in reserve.

Incorrect storage can result in loss of taste, and sometimes leads to the appearance of insects, musty smell and mold. What should you absolutely not do?

First of all, do not mix several types of cereals in one storage container – each of them has its own taste, shelf life, and cooking time, finally.

Secondly, do not leave supplies in close proximity to the stove or sink. Both moisture and high temperatures have a detrimental effect on buckwheat with rice and horns with spaghetti.

Third, do not use wet utensils to remove grains or pasta from storage containers. Leaving wet spoons in containers with cereals is also not a good idea.

And fourthly, do not rush to add a new portion to a jar that still has grain at the bottom – the expiration dates of these two batches of bulk products will most likely be different.
