Any housewife knows that even buying expensive buckwheat in beautiful packaging does not “free” you from the need to carefully sort out the grain.
However, many people find this process tedious.
As it turns out, you don’t have to sort out buckwheat if you know one trick.
What does it consist of?
First, you should determine the volume of cereal that you are going to cook, pour it into a separate container. If you suddenly notice any large sticks, you can remove them immediately.
After this, bring the kettle to a boil and pour liquid over the product in the classic ratio (twice as much water per part of buckwheat).
Wait a few minutes. You can even stir the grain a little. Afterwards, you will notice that the low-quality elements "hiding" in the buckwheat begin to float up.
They just need to be removed.
Then pour cold water over the cereal once and start cooking. This simple trick can make your task much easier.
It is also worth noting that some housewives choose a similar option. However, instead of hot water, they use cold water. In this case, you need to wait about twenty minutes. Such cereals cook much faster.
